Virgen del Pilar

The day of Hispanidad is also the great party of the Guardia Civil and how not, day of celebration of the onomastics of all the women who carry Pilar in its name.

Holiday celebrated in all Spain, but mainly in the Aragonese Community, where the Virgin of the Pillar is its patron saint. A community with a large presence in our city and strong roots in it.

For this reason, and as each year, invited by the Aragonese Center of Castellón, our charges for Magdalena 2018, Àgueda, Nagore and Iker, accompanied by the member of the Junta Directiva Nacho Collados, went to the Church of the Holy Trinity to participate in the offering and later mass in honor to the Virgin of the Pilar.

Dressed in labrador dresses, the girls with a mantilla as the occasion required, were part of a large gaiatera entourage that accompanied the Aragonese friends from their headquarters to the aforementioned church.

Already in the afternoon, Àgueda, Nagore and Iker, they witnessed in the Teatre del Raval the magnificent festival of jotas that the Aragonese center offered to the city of Castellón. A wide repertoire of dances and songs that did not leave anyone indifferent.

One more year, we did not want to miss the opportunity to return to share with so many neighbors of our city that keep their roots in the community of Aragon, and together celebrate the great day of their patron, the Pilarica.
